Most of you reading this will be aware of the Suzuki Pipe Humming. Well, just to show that there is nothing new under the sun, here is essentially the same idea made by an Indian company some twenty years earlier, presumably Bharat Harmonica Industries of Gujarat. The pipe on the Concert Master is a little longer than on the Suzuki version, but they both work in the same way. The biggest difference is in the quality of the harmonica - I am sorry to say that the Concert Master's production quality is somewhat less than spectacular. The reedplates appear to be galvanised mild steel, nailed on to a cheaply made plastic comb and the reeds are rather roughly stamped out and poorly tuned.
The design is credited to one B. Shackman of New York - presumably of the well known toy and novelty supplier B. Shackman & Co..
